  • Why are the entries directly in the start menu not sorted?

    This is a know issue in Version 1.x: Q-Sort 2000 does only sort entries under the "Programs" subgroup of the start menu.

 
  • Does Q-Sort 2000 work on Windows NT, 2000 and XP?

    Yes, the current Beta release of Q-Sort 2004 works on all Windows operating systems: 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000 and XP. It can be downloaded here.

Q-Recovery has been discontinued on January 1, 2004 and is no longer being sold. Support for Q-Recovery will be discontinued on March 30, 2004.

   
  • Does Q-Recovery work on Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP?

    No, Q-Recovery works only on Windows 95, 98 and ME. There are NO plans to develop an NT, Windows 2000 or XP compatible version of Q-Recovery in the future.

 
  • Is Q-Recovery 2000 compatible with Windows Millennium (Windows ME)?

Yes, the new version 2.6 is compatible with Windows ME. This is a free upgrade to registered users of any previous version and can be downloaded here.


 
  • I receive a runtime error 5 when starting Q-Recovery after the initial installation. How can I fix this?

This should be fixed in the most recent release. Please download  version 2.6 from the download area and install it. You can also use Q-WebUpdate to download an update.


 
  • I receive a runtime error 6 when starting Q-Recovery after the initial installation. How can I fix this?

We discovered, that this can occurs, if you enter only 1 or 2 characters as the "Name" or "Company" in the setup program. This has been fixed in Version 2.5 of Q-Recovery 2000, which can be downloaded here or via Q-WebUpdate.


 
  • The checkbox for Outlook Express 5.0 is grayed out. Is Q-Recovery not compatible with Outlook Express 5.0?

Support for Outlook Express 5.0x has been added in Version 2.5 of Q-Recovery 2000, which is available as a free update to registered customers of any previous version of Q-Recovery and can be downloaded here.


 
  • Why are my Netscape Settings grayed out? I use Netscape Navigator 4.5, 4.6 or 4.7. 

Support for Netscape Navigator 4.5x, 4.6x and 4.7x has been added in Version 2.5 of Q-Recovery 2000, which is available as a free update to registered customers of any previous version of Q-Recovery and can be downloaded here.


 
  • Is Q-Recovery compatible with Windows 98 Second Edition?

Yes, Q-Recovery works under Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE.


 
  • I receive an "Unexpected Error 50003" error message when starting Q-Recovery 2.0. How can I solve this problem?
